Automotive Displays:

Rear-seat video has become a common entertainment
solution. However, video images can be distracting or entertaining to
other drivers, and could potentially promote tailgating.
Using
patented DEFENSCREEN technology, a window attachment (like a transparent
child sunscreen) can selectively obscure display images without blocking
driver visibility. This can reduce distraction, and present privacy
enhancement and "lose the tailgater" benefits for enhanced driving comfort
and safety.
The same configuration can also reduce display washout due to
sunlight glare, improving display visibility for passengers - a
multi-faceted enhancement!
DEFENSCREEN compatibility may be added to windows by
automobile owners
using a window attachment (like a transparent child sunscreen). It may
be added to displays by manufacturers or enhancement integrators using
add-on laminates.

Display Privacy, Road Safety*:
|
|
The below image illustrates privacy enhancement in an automotive
example. This is evident when a DEFENSCREEN
compatible display is viewed through a DEFENSCREEN compatible
window area.
The transparent window
filters the display light selectively
using patented elliptical polarization techniques to achieve alignment
flexibility and maintain compatibility with common polarized eyewear.
This fills feature gaps of
other enhancement technologies by providing unique over-the-shoulder
visibility control not offered by other technologies.
Such
enhancement can benefit
office, bank displays,
police vehicle displays,
automotive displays and others.

Sunlight Readability:
|
|
The below image illustrates sunlight readability enhancement in an automotive example. This is evident when sunlight is cast on a DEFENSCREEN
compatible display through a DEFENSCREEN compatible window area.
The display surface filters the sunlight selectively
using patented elliptical polarization techniques to achieve alignment flexibility and
maintain compatibility with common polarized eyewear.
This fills feature gaps
of other enhancement technologies by filtering sunlight before it reaches internal display elements that can reflect to cause washout.
Such enhancement can benefit
office, bank displays,
automotive displays,
naval, avionics displays and others.
